ROOM is a multidisciplinary collaboration between Noa Orlicky (painter and video artist), Natalie Afriat (choreographer and dancer) and Soof Nikritin (musician). Through the written research the subject of the piece revel itself and it’s body memoirs: How the body is constantly changing, acting as vessel of experiences and relationships, how the body experiences memories physically, and especially how we remember our own body over time. Each of the three artists examined the changing body through their medium. Natalie examines the physical body through movement, which reflect the evidence of the changing body. Noa examines the same body memory by doubling it and placing it side by side, while Soof examines physical memory through the space of sound, which, like video art, begins with organic sound and becomes synthesized. ROOM was produced with the support of the Israel Lottery Council For Culture & Arts, the Independent Creators’ Fund of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, Ein-Hod Executive Committee and Hof-Hacarmel Regional Council.
